Dana Simmons

Dana Simmons joined Presbyterian College in October 2021 as its first chief marketing officer, where she serves on the President’s Cabinet and leads the institution’s marketing and communications strategy. With over two decades of experience in higher education marketing, Dana brings a unique blend of creative vision and data-driven decision-making to her role.

Since joining Presbyterian College in October 2021, Dana has spearheaded transformative initiatives including a complete institutional rebrand, the launch of a new website, and the rollout of a new market position and strategic plan. Under her leadership, the marketing communications division has standardized processes, developed integrated marketing strategies for graduate programs, and supported record-breaking fundraising initiatives.

Prior to Presbyterian College, Dana held leadership positions at Stetson University, Western Governors University, and Westminster College, where she consistently improved enrollment marketing outcomes, streamlined operations, and delivered significant cost savings through innovative strategies.

Dana has presented at national conferences including Capture Higher Ed, AACRAO, and the American Marketing Association. Her expertise has earned her recognition including the Utah AMA Spotlight Award, Westminster College’s Presidential Star Award, and the FranklinCovey Summit Award.

Dana holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and History Teaching from Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing a Master of Mindfulness Studies at Lesley University. Known for her transparent and collaborative leadership style, she fosters high-performing work environments. Her approach combines strategic thinking with pragmatic execution, always maintaining an open-door policy and welcoming diverse perspectives.
