To ensure a successful internship experience, consider the following steps:

Engage early with our team to help you build job search skills, refine your resume, and explore potential internship opportunities.
- Prepare Your Resume
Develop a strong resume early in your academic career to be ready for unexpected opportunities.
- Search for and Apply to Internships
Handshake is the platform you’ll use to search for and apply to internships that align with your interests and careers goals.
- Get Academic Credit for Interning
Register academic credit hours on BannerWeb for the semester that you will intern. Use COLS for this. One credit hour equals 42 work hours.
- Complete the Student Internship Forms
Complete the Student Internship Form with your employer information and write your learning objectives. Submit for review.
Complete the Statement of Responsibility and also submit for review.
